This gorgeously detailed kit is based on different Victorian house designs in America using real life examples to guide me. Everything you see in the unfinished kit photos is included, such as fretwork, doors, door handles, and verandah parts.
The photos show views of the unpainted constructed kit, showing the inclusions in the kit. Please note that wall, roof and floor coverings, paints, cornice and skirting trims are not included. Please ask questions if you are unsure.
The kit is made from quality lightweight 3mm ply for the main structure and thinner ply for the detail parts. Parts are precision laser cut, and the tab and slot construction gives a neat finish for even inexperienced builders. Detailed instructions with photos are provided, and I am available if you have any questions before, during or after construction. This kit has some fiddly parts, such as the stairs and the verandah, so extra patience will be required! There are a lot of parts/sheets of plywood (twice what most of my other house kits are) so can be overwhelming. If you follow the instructions as provided and take your time, you should be fine.
The parts are very small and fragile and must be handled carefully, however the finish you should attain will be amazing if you are careful with them.
You will need a fine craft knife, wood working glue, sandpaper, tweezers, masking tape and a pencil to finish this kit. Clamps can also be useful. It can be decorated using acrylic paints or other media as desired. I have included hints and tips on decorating in the instructions to make this easier for you.
Finished exterior dimensions are 48cm wide x 38cm deep x 42cm high, plus base. Please note you will need to provide your own base. I recommend a minimum size of 40cm x 50cm (the size I used in the example photo). A sheet of 3mm thick MDF would be fine, however thicker would be more stable.
The kit will be posted by airmail for international delivery with tracking. Extra cover (insurance) is available.
This kit is not suitable for small children under 6 years. For adult collectors only. It is a kit and therefore must be put together by the purchaser.
